Swindon u3a is part of a national organisation that offers mainly locally-based activities ranging from art appreciation, gardening or play reading to table tennis, walking, singing and playing the ukulele with lots more in between.

We are a vibrant friendly group, currently with over 1600 members and plenty of Interest Groups and Events to offer and always give a warm welcome to new members.

We may well have something for you: new opportunities, new hobbies, new friendships.  Maybe you enjoy an activity or skill that you would like to share?  Our activities are run by members in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.

New group ideas are always welcome. Group size varies depending on the nature of the activity, the level of interest and the facilities required. Have a look at our current groups at the top of the page - there is bound to be something to interest you.

We also hold monthly meetings at venues around Swindon where our members are invited to talks given by speakers on a wide variety of interesting topics. We have a lending library of jigsaws and books at these meetings and there's always a chance to have a cuppa and a chat with fellow members.

All members can enjoy and contribute to a regular newsletter and individual groups sometimes circulate their own.

Please look around the site, and if you wish to join, then the easiest method is to use the online form by clicking on  "Membership" at the top of the page.

Alternatively, you can email us at office@swindonu3a.org.uk,  or pop into our office for a chat with our friendly volunteers, or you can call us on 01793 614629.
